There is a lot of erroneous information out there concerning what constitutes “healthy eating habits”. Many people are led to believe that they must give up all of their favorite comfort foods in order to lose weight and become healthier. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Good nutrition and healthy eating habits go hand-in-hand. You will not improve your health by cutting out one food group, nor will you become fit and in shape by limiting portion sizes. The message that should be sent home with every single person who begins a healthy eating program is: “Don’t eat more than this stuff.” That’s right! Once you get over your shock at first, you’ll soon come to realize that the tiny little extras that you add to your diet are more than just a waste of time and money.

Healthy eating habits take time to develop, but once you get into them, you will never want to go back! Even if you feel like you are an easy person to please, try keeping a journal of your progress for a few weeks to see just how far you’ve come. It will shock you at how quickly your healthy eating habits have transformed you!

Your health is important. It doesn’t matter whether you’re trying to lose weight or fight cancer, being healthy is better for you in more ways than one.
